The Crisis Center
provides counseling for any situation you or your loved ones may be facing, including but not limited to:

Staff of the Crisis Center have a
bachelors or masters degree in a mental health discipline and are trained in
crisis intervention. Our goal is to
intervene in crisis situations as skillfully and quickly as possible to stop
ineffective behaviors and return people to their level of coping
before the crisis. While our telephone counselors remain in the center to
consult over the phone, we also offer mobile crisis counselors who will see people anywhere
in Brown, Shawano or Sheboygan County.
What to Expect When
You Come to the Crisis Center:
Counselors will listen to you and provide an assessment of your current
situation. A plan will be developed with you that meets both your immediate and
long-term needs. We will also follow-up with you to re-evaluate your status and
refer you to other community resources if additional help is needed.

Assessment for admission to the Brown County Mental Health Center

Administer Salvation Army hotel and food vouchering after
business hours if certain criteria is met

Provide Travelers Assistance to non Brown County residents who are stranded in Green
Bay
w
Provide after-hours phone service for the Runaway Project and Sexual
Assault Center of Family Services
The
Crisis Center of Family Services also offers Critical Incident Stress Management
(CISM) training to
individuals, families, and other groups (i.e. schools, emergency rooms, fire
and rescue and police departments). CISM training is useful to anyone who
has faced a critical incident such as a traumatic death, accident or other experience.
